Every once in a while my fur needs more grooming than I can do by myself. That's when my First Attendant carries me out on the deck and gently grooms off my old furs. Large wisps of my old fluff float away in the breeze and I'm left with a super soft new fur coat. First Attendant says this is tidier and easier than grooming me indoors. This morning while I was receiving my grooming on the deck, we noticed some birds perched on the deck railing. They were watching us intently. They seemed very excited.
"Fluff! Fluff!" said the birds to each other, hopping around and flapping their wings a little.
"You just can't find fluff like that anymore," said one bird.
"It's the good stuff," said another bird.
The birds could hardly wait till my spa session was finished before swooping in, chirping and singing the whole time, to gather up my discarded fluff. They told all their friends, too. Many hours later, birds were still arriving on our deck to look for my old furs. First Attendant saw one bird couple, a mommy and daddy, searching very hard for the fluff they had heard about -- but they were too late, there was nothing left for them.
First Attendant felt bad, so he found a few wisps of fluff around the house and carefully tucked them in the flower pots on the deck, in case the birds came back.
Once in a while, my attendants do something completely right.
Here is the new bunnybed that First Attendant made for me. As you can see, it is specially designed to fit me perfectly. It has a soft cushion underneath for my comfort and a rim around the sides so I won't accidentally slip and fall out in the middle of a nice lounge.
First Attendant says my bunnybed is also designed to show off how special and important I am. On either side there are other special things, but the most important one is in the middle.
I like my bunnybed because now I have my very own place in my attendants' lounge-nest. When we all lounge together, it's very companionable. Plus, now I can hop up and supervise them whenever I want.
From my new bunnybed perch, I can see all around the house, which is really nice for a bunny. It makes me feel safe. I can also ask my attendants for pets whenever I want -- and get them!
When I face one way on my new bunnybed, First Attendant has to pet me. When I have received enough pets from him, I turn the other way. That means it's Second Attendant's turn to pet me. Then we start over. It is working out very well.
It's easier to supervise my attendants now that my bunnybed makes me as tall as them.
The bunnybed made fruit treats when it was brand new. I dig at it periodically to see if it will make more.
Let me be the first to share a commemorative donut with the hood.
Sadly, this has to be only a virtual donut in my case, since sugary pastries are not actually good for buns. Yes, I am a snarfly rabbit princess who would eat the poisonous donut rather than attempt a decent headperformance, even on such a special occasion. So, my attendants found this photo of Oolong to share with you instead. Today I will be enjoying an extra helping of pellets in lieu of donuts.
Because my friend Aubrey tagged me.
- Everything I do is cute.
- I have superb bunfeel. (Ultraplush microfiber coat + tender varmint underneath = excellent bunfeel.)
- I look grey in the pictures you see here, but in reality my fur is part grey, part white, and part light brown. (My white tummy part is very private and I only let very special people snuggle me there. )
- I have a remarkable memory. Some people say rabbit memories go back only a week or so, but I remember events that happened over a year ago. (Usually bad ones that I still complain about to my attendants.)
- I think it’s rude when people pet me while I’m eating. Whenever they try, I growl and hop away.
- My attendants think I couldn’t survive on my own in the wild, but they’re wrong. If I were a free bun, I would eat fresh greens all the time and stay safe from foxes and owls because I can run very fast.
- When my attendants come home after a trip, I always box their feet, run away, and sulk for hours before I allow them pet me again.
- When my attendants are disappointed in me, I feel satisfied. It means my work is done.
- On the rare days when I receive all the attention and treats that I deserve, I show my appreciation by flopping conspicuously. I always raise my head and look at my attendants to make sure they noticed. Then I settle back and re-flop.
- I like to supervise. I’m a great supervisor because I know that people always do everything all wrong.
- I am far too soft for this kind of abuse.

I'm not looking my best today on account of my tummy troubles but it's my special day so I wanted to say hi to all my peeps. Hi!
This is one of the Easter eggs my First Attendant painted this year. He did it specially for my Second Attendant, because this kind of flower grows where she came from.
I think it's only okay for an Easter egg. The Easter egg First Attendant painted for me is much cooler. My Second Attendant was delighted to see my adorable egg shape honored so appropriately on my special day.As Princess of the Bunny Lounge, however, my job is to note all the imperfections in my attendants' work. It is the only way they will ever learn. For instance, if First Attendant had done a proper job, my Easter egg likeness would not have needed a paper ring stand. Note the lack of proper floofy bunfoots.
Still, I can't deny that in certain ways the resemblance was striking. Ahem.
