Show us something sweet.

I know, the usagi entry was awesome enough, but a great Vox Hunt like this one deserves multiple submissions. Meet Doodles and Sprinkles, a bonded pair of rabbits from Bunny Buddies, a rabbit rescue in Houston, Texas. Have you ever seen anything sweeter or more adorable?
Bunny bonds are deep and very special. Some basics about bunny bonding here.
Show us something sweet.

According to Hopperhome's Bunny Blog, these sweets are known as Usagi,
which means "rabbit" in Japanese. Makes sense. Who among us has not heard the myth
about a rabbit living on the moon, pounding mochi (rice cake)? That face we can sometimes make out in moon at night is a rabbit, not a man. A rabbit in the moon.
Show us what you're thankful for.
Thanks to mariser, my peeps had to have this poster. It finally arrived last night, matted and framed, and hangs now in the Bunny Lounge's place of greatest honor: above my bed, in my playroom.
All day today my peeps have been admiring the poster and reciting favorite lines from the book. This was fine with me, until late this afternoon when I heard my daddy-peep chant:
Schnarfler.
Princess with a Thousand Demands.
All the world will be your servant.
And when they serve you,
they will disappoint you.
But first they must serve you.
All self-respecting buns are dangerously cute--dangerous primarily to vulnerable household objects in their immediate environment.
See, rabbits are generally full of beans. And I'm a true bean bun.
I release my beans by tossing things around, chewing them up, and then
kicking up my heels and hopping all over the place in a frenzy of happy binking when I get caught.
My peeps long ago gave up keeping track of all the things I've destroyed around the house. But I'm proud of my work. Here are a few highlights from my resume:
• my daddy-peep's beloved living room couch
• two or three wooden plant stands
• six or seven houseplants
• two rattan dining chairs
• one floor lamp
• two large kitchen rugs
• 40-60 collectible books and magazines
• wooden baseboards throughout one rented apartment
• plaster wall corners in the dining and living room (tasty)
• four iBook power units
• two large wooden chests
• three heirloom bookcases (too big for me to ruin completely, but now nicely frayed around the edges)
That's all I can think of now. But I'm sure there's plenty more. And as long long as there are beans in this bun, the list will continue to grow.
Show us some shades of blue.
Louisville, Kentucky is very green. We have the Ohio River, but it's not very blue. Sometimes my mommy-peep misses the colors of the islands where she grew up. I like exploring new places, so I hope she takes me with her on her next visit. I wonder if I'll enjoy being a real beach bunny!
Update Monday, October 23, 2006:
Indy's beach bunny fantasy perfectly portrayed
on Cute Overload!
Wish and ye shall receive. Just when I start to feel that CO content may be biased--just a little--in favor of puppeh and kitteh cuteness (not that there's anything wrong with that), Meg throws our way a bit of breathtaking bunny adorability such as this. Meg Frost, I love you.
Tender snorgles to my good friend Little Miao for immediately pointing me towards this supersnugglicious CO post. O happy day!

I'm a pampered house rabbit on the outside, and a wild bun on the inside. I often daydream about leaving my velvet-lined Bunny Lounge to live in the great outdoors, digging my own scrapes, tricking and running from predators, and snacking on endless fields of tender fresh greens. Yes, I'm a Princess here in the Bunny Lounge, but I'm very independent and would love to be my own bun!
These amazing photos of my inner wild rabbit were shot by Tanja A. More of her awesome wildlife photography can be found here.
